Goodbye....

Hey there! I guess I finish where I started…72 days ago I sat here in Costa with my head in my hands wondering how the heck I am to write a blog. Here I am 10 weeks later, and I would like to say I’ve made progress and learnt something new! Speaking of progress, this morning myself and some friends held a workshop on big data and business intelligence (not something I thought I would ever do and even more, enjoy). Go have a look at their blogs if that is something that interests you:  Rachael's Digital Economy Blogs  ,  Hazel's Digital Times  and  Rachel's Digital Economy Blogs  . I’m not sure if you remember, but I actually done a blog post on this a few weeks ago, feel free to read if you haven't already!  Big Data Blog  & if that doesn't work: https://laurlogsdigitaleconomy.blogspot.com/2023/10/big-data.html It was interesting to see the research I did for my blog, as well as the material I learnt in class and applying that to a real-li...

E-Commerce and Internet Technologies

Hello again and welcome back to my blog!

My three favourite things: gym, coffee and shopping. I’m going to dig a little deeper this week and recommend some websites for a new enterprise in each of these industries.

Gym

Thousands of companies, start ups and multinationals, use GloFox to increases sales. This one truly grabbed my attention since I was a SnapFitness member. GloFox is fully customisable to help firms achieve its goals by giving them exactly what they want. Members find it easy to search for and book classes. As the world becomes more contactless, GloFox gives members the ability to make online payments and manage their memberships without every setting foot in the gym.

Clothing boutique

SumUp is the solution you’ve been searching for in terms of increasing sales. In Ireland alone, there are almost 250,000 SME’s using the platform! SumUp is perfect for start-up businesses since it provides a free SumUp app with the option to upgrade to a paid service if successful – no subscription costs or hidden fees. Additionally, there’s is a free SumUp app that provides real time reports and a history of sales.

Coffee

Squid Loyalty, an app that I’m all too familiar with. I suggest this software since, as a frequent user, it offers numerous advantages for start up enterprises. Not only does it reduce physical loyalty cards (less for customers to carry around) which protects the environment. It combines serval companies into one app. Its also easy for the customer to use and is constantly with them – their phone. Squid provides a sales analysis to assist growth from month to month and understanding customer buying habits. Fun fact: a customer collects on average 7 stamps per month – that’s one free coffee.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to read this! I hope you found it enjoyable, I know I did 😊
